About Me
I’m Steven Gething a professionally qualified analytical hypnotherapist based in Hertfordshire.
So you can get a feel for who I am and what started me on this fascinating and interesting career in helping others here’s a little background information about me.
Before qualifying as a full time therapist I had spent the majority of my working life in the education sector working as a computer programmer . Feeling unfulfilled in this career and being compassionate and naturally interested in people, a chance conversation about NLP and hypnotherapy and subsequent research was to open my eyes to the amazing life changes that can be made from these complimentary therapies. I then enrolled on the best possible training available at the Essex Institute Of Clinical Hypnosis where I was trained by Terence Watts, a senior clinician and one of the most respected hypnotherapists and psychotherapists in the industry. Qualifying for the professional practitioner course and Advanced Diploma in Hypnoanalysis I then decided to further my studies enrolling and passing the advanced diploma in clinical hypnosis and psychotherapy.
Since being fully qualified and set up in practise, I have a private consultation room in Bridge Street, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.
I am also a registered member of The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy.
As a member of the APHP I am bound by a Strict Code of Ethics, and am committed to a high level of professionalism, on-going training, and supervision.
As well as being a registered member of The National Council of Psychotherapists.
